West Indies Tour of England 2025: ODI Series Schedule and Squad Analysis

The West Indies cricket team was on a long tour of England in May and June 2025, featuring a three-game One-Day International (ODI) series followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20I). This tour was part of a larger international cricket season and featured the England women’s team playing against the West Indies women as well.

• Joe Root: The star performer for England and Player of the Series. He scored 267 runs across the series. 

• Adil Rashid: He led the bowling attack with 9 wickets, helping England win by taking wickets for vital breakthroughs. 

• Jamie Smith: He adapted to open the batting, and his 64 runs off 28 balls helped win the final ODI.

West Indies’ Squad and Performance

Captain Shai Hope led the West Indies squad. They had difficulties in all the games, although they provided a spirited performance, but did not secure a victory as they finished the series 0-3.

Notable Contributions:

• Keacy Carty was the top run scorer for the West Indies with a total of 154 runs across the series.

• Alzarri Joseph was the leading wicket-taker for his team, taking 7 wickets, which shows it was a positive for him, individually.
